Jewel can be used as a brooch or pendant . It is in the form of a pomegranate or flowering bud on a stem. Textured gold curling waves cleverly using both positive and negative shapes form the full round shape of the flower/fruit. Diamonds are set in platinum to show them off to better effect. Wonderful gleam and glint of these great quality gems. Fine, fine quality. There is a large loop at the back to hang the pendant from. Someone has added another loop, but the new owner can remove/keep it as it suits them. Sturdy and secure pin.
Marks: the two stems of the flower have the following marks: one is engraved TIFFANY & CO and has a lozenge mark for the maker. The other stem has an engraved 197 which is presumably a company serial number. Two heads - that of Mercury for 18k gold, Paris between 1879-2000. The other head of a young girl indicates platinum Paris 1912-1994. Both heads face left.
