Vintage Alvin Yellowhorse ring. Multi gems including lapis lazuli, hardstones and turquoise and silver. Made circa 1980's.
Most likely made for a man, but also suitable for a woman.

Measurements: Weight is 13.8 grams. US size 11.5 (a tad under).

Description : A striking, handmade Navajo jewel by famed artist, Alvin Yellowhorse. The strong design of a large, rectangular bezel, the entire top fitted with multi colored semi precious gem stones of various colors. Colors range from orange, through purple and red, with turquoise and two shades of blue and green. Gems of varying sizes, but ultimately form a perfect rectangle. Beautiful sense of balance. Great workmanship. Held above the finger by silver mount. Forking openwork shoulders that fan out from the shank (hoop), which is a strong design in itself - two steeply slanting angles that form the outside, but perfectly round inside. Great detail and attention even to hidden aspects of the ring make this a ring of superior quality.
Wonderfully strong design, the ring was probably designed and intended for a man, but can be worn by anyone, of any gender and age. Workmanship is comparable to the greatest Vatican micromosaic makers from centuries ago.

Marks and Metal: Back of bezel is signed Alvin Yellowhorse with his horse logo.

Condition: Good with minor wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
