Vintage Alvin Yellowhorse ring. Multi gems and silver. Made circa 1980's.
Most likely made for a man, but no reason a smart woman can't wear it as well.
Measurements: Weight is 14.8 grams. US size 7.
Description : Really strong design that leaves no doubt about its Navajo symbolism and style. The navette shape (a pointy oval) with a silver mount, strong and striated in alternating stations, leads to a navette shaped bezel, inset with multi colored stones. The palette is in a creamy pale yellow, turquoise and black. The design is symbolic and geometric. Strong angles and zig-zags. The different colored sections balance one another perfectly despite the asymetry of the design. Most amazingly, is a closeup insepction of the work: some areas are composed of multiple stones, so well matched and fitted so closely that they appear to be a single stone.
Tri-forked shoulders.
Great artistry, design and workmanship. We feel the handwork and personality of the maker when we wear this ring.
Marks and Metal: Back of bezel is signed Alvin Yellowhorse with his horse logo.
Condition: Good with minor wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
