Vintage estate earrings ear clips. 18k white gold, diamonds and Tahitian 'black' cultured pearls. Date unknown. Pearls originate in French Polynesia and are known as Tahitian Pearls, famous for their large size and dark grey color.

Measurements: Black Tahitian pearls measure 11.03mm and 10.76mm respectively. Appraised as peacock in color. Diamonds weigh 1.40ct total, H-I in color and SI1 in clarity. Weigh 17.30 grams.

Elegant and smart, stylised flower form earrings. The centers are Tahitian (also called grey South Sea) pearls. Pearls are a lovely deep grey with overtones of blue and yellow - somewhere between 'peacock' and 'pistachio'. Pearls are surrounded by rings of colette set diamonds. Lovely, lively diamonds that contrast and offset the grey pearls wonderfully. White gold makes for even more shine against the dark centers. Posts and hinged clips to secure them. Beautiful and very smart.

Marks: Inside the clasp is hallmarked 18k. There is also a maker's mark.

Condition: good with minor wear commensurate with use. The posts are a little bent, which always happens with wearing and can easily be straigtened by your jeweler if you so wish. Please see enlarged photos for details. Do not hesitate to ask questions, which we will do our best to answer.

Please note: these earrings were independently appraised with a value of $8525.00 Appraisal available to the new owner.
