Vintage Earrings 2.62ct Demantoid Garnet Diamonds Platinum Gold Appraisal (6774)

Vintage earrings. Demantoid Garnets and diamonds set in platinum with 18k yellow gold wires. Date is unknown, but believed to be older (19th century) gems reset mid 1900's.

 

Measurements: Weight is 3.10 grams. Length approximately 3/4 inch (a tad over 2cm). 2.62ct Demantoid garnets. Diamonds 0.70 ct.

 

Description : Beautifully made with a fine, arching graduated line of Old European cut diamonds leading to a flower form with demantoid garnet centers surrounded by a ring of diamond petals. Very striking as the quality of the gems is great and make a definate statement.

 

Marks and Metal: 950 for platinum on backs. Gold was acid tested.
