VCA Van Cleef and Arpels Earrings Hoop Ear Clips 18k Gold Vintage French (5884)

VCA Vintage Modern earrings hoop ear clips. 18k 750 Yellow Gold. Made in France by Van Cleef and Arpels, circa 1980-90's. Comes with original Van Cleef & Arpels box.

Measurements: Top to bottom, hoops measure a little under 3/4 inch (17mm); Width of hoop is 1/2inch (13mm). Weigh 22.6grams.

Van Cleef & Arpels huggie earrings in the shape of small, broad, generous gold hoops. Free form swirls meander in an openwork flowing path through the center of each earring. Omega back closures over posts. Black leather box with embossed hinged lid and inside lined in soft cloth lining, printed with Van Cleef & Arpels.

Marks: Both earrings are fully marked with French gold and VCA marks. The area around the hinge of the clasp is engraved OR flanked by a dog mark and another hallmark which might be a VCA mark. The outer circle of the clasp is surrounded by a chased script mark Van Cleef and Arpels eagle head mark, 750 and diamond-shaped VCA maker's mark. The eagle head is French for 18k gold. The inside of the clasp is engraved GL 7930 (VCA internal serial number) The side with the post has a gold mark.
