Estate earrings / ear clips. 18k gold and peridot. Made in New York, USA by Valentin Magro. Measurements: Weight is 32 grams. Diameter of earring is approximately 7/8 inch (2.5cm). Dome rises 1/2 inch (12mm) above the ear. Description : Round domes of peridot. A tubular disk of gold forms a plate or mount for the peridot, which is wonderfully carved. Each gem looks like a citrus fruit, such as a green lemon. The color of the peridot changes from bright, light yellowish green, to dark emerald green, as the light catches it at different angles. This provides constant change and interest, in addition to the beautiful tones of green and lovely clear gems that transmit light beautifully. The effect of citrus fruit is increased by little gold globules that are part of the mechanism that holds the peridot in place. Comfortable, hinged clips make the earrings wearable by anyone, including a woman without pierced ears. Marks and Metal: Marked Valentin Magro 18k on the back of each earring.
