Mauboussin Étoile Mystère Ring. 18k white gold, diamonds and mother of pearl. Made by Mauboussin, Paris France and fully signed and numbered. Estate ring - exact date unknown, but likely late 1900's.

Measurements: Approximately US size 6.5. Width of band in center is 6.5mm. Weighs 11.6grams.

Description: Estate ring. Divine Star Ring can be worn as a wedding band, as it is full of symbolism of love and beauty, featuring the popular Maugoussin star as well as mother of pearl, set in white gold. The band tapers slightly towards the back of the finger and broadens imperceptibly towards the middle/top, where the star is inset. The borders are clean white gold. From shoulder to shoulder, the band is inset with panels of mother of pearl with wonderful luster, flashing colors from silvery-white to deep grey and brown, depending on the angle that the light catches it. The top of the ring is inset with a 4-sides star, assymmetric arms stretch across the surface. The star is very finely set with diamonds, within a white gold border. Subtle and elegant. Very beautiful workmanship. Double meaning of the star as it is also the logo of Mauboussin, one of the best French jewelry houses since 1827.
Highly wearable both as a fashion statement and as a wedding band.

Marks: Inside the shank has engraved marks MAUBOUSSIN; PARIS; 750; an oval lozenge as maker's mark; 53 Z6144.
