Art Deco Brooch Platinum 5.50ct Diamonds Pearls Hinged Comet w Appraisal (6065)

Antique Vintage Art Deco brooch. Platinum, diamonds and cultured pearls. Made in France circa 1930. 

Measurements: 5.50ct diamonds professionally appraised as being G-H in color and VS in clarity. Length of brooch is a little over 2 1/2 inches (6.5cm). Weighs 10.01 grams.

Brooch in the form of a stylised comet. Art Deco geometric design with a strong sense of movement, enhanced by the articulated right angles of the upper and lower section which appear to move in opposite directions. Beautifully pave and channel set diamonds. The quality of the workmanship is excellent. Very strong design. Ultimate French elegance.

Marks: a number of French hallmarks on the sides of the brooch.
