Antique / Vintage Ring 14k Gold Double hoops w Padlock Charm Dangle (6518)

Antique / vintage ring. 14k gold. Possibly American. Date unknown, but probably first half of the 20th century.

Measurements: US size 6. Weighs 5.1 grams.

Description : Utterly charming and unusual ring. It consists of a pair of simple gold bands, each with a single gold loop. The pair of loops (one from each ring) also have a small gold padlock attached to them. Every part of the ring can move independantly of the other parts. When the ring is worn, the padlock falls on the finger and has full freedom of movement. Locks were part of Victorian symbolism, inferring love and romance. This ring has a wonderful look and is a lot of fun. It can be worn by any woman - young or old and will be a great conversation piece from the lucky woman who receives it.

Marks: Minute engraving on one of the rings shows 14k and the other wring has minute script which we cannot decipher.
