Antique Vintage Engagement Ring 18k White Gold Diamond Art Deco Small (6159)

Antique vintage engagement ring. 18k white gold, diamond. Made circa 1920-30's in America. 

Measurements: A tad under a US size 4.5. Weighs 1.9 grams. Small diamond - approximately 0.20ct.

Description: Finest filigree mount in white gold (which dates the ring to earliest 1915). The diamond is placed in the midst of a series of consecutive square borders, some with filigree, some with openwork - all to add to interest and show the diamond off in the best possible light. The bezel is raised on a gallery of openwork filigree which allows light to enter from all sides, including the back of the diamond. The shoulders and large part of the hoop are openwork filigree with floral design. It is unusual to find a small ring with such wonderful detail and quality of workmanship. Great design.

Marks: 18 engraved inside the shank.
