Antique vintage earrings emeralds diamonds pearls gold Ear Pendants (7255)

Antique / vintage earrings - long ear pendants. 14k gold, diamonds, emeralds and pearls. Made in India early 1900's - between 70-110 years old. Independent appraisal as well as gemological appraisal from Indian gemological laboratory.

Measurements: Weight is 4.0 grams. Length, not including wires is 1 1/2 inches (4cm). Emeralds 1.74ct but look bigger due to cut. 1.84ct diamonds.

Description : Classic late Victorian - Edwardian dangling ear pendant design with a line of colette-set diamonds leading to pear-shaped drops with large prong-set emeralds in the center, surrounded by rings of colette set diamonds. Pear-shaped, gleaming pearl drops below. Parts are linked via loops which allows each section to move independently of the others. Earrings swing and sway as the wearer moves.
Simple gold wires are easy to insert and very comfortable to wear. Look fabulous.

Emeralds have a fabulous bright green color and glow and look bigger than their carat weight. Diamonds offset emeralds, shine and gleam beautifully and pearls with lovely luster. Like most emeralds, there has been minor oil treatment.
Since the age of the Mughals, Indians have had a particular draw to emeralds, a highly favored gem. This pair is particularly lovely.
Like most vintage/angique Indian jewelry, it is very difficult to establish a definitive age.

Marks and Metal: No marks. Wires and earrings were acid tested as 14k.
