Antique Vintage Deco Ring Asscher Cut E Diamond GIA Platinum Engagement (7072)

Antique Vintage Art Deco ring. Platinum and diamonds. Made circa 1930. Comes with GIA certificate. Engagement or wedding ring. Measurements: Weight is 4.7 grams. US size 6 1/2. Central diamond weighs 1.21ct, E color, VS2 clarity. 30 round diamonds measure 0.60ct. Description : Art Deco geometric design with general square shape of bezel. Shape softened by the unbroken continuity of the diamonds that continue from both sides of the bezel to the shoulders and beyond to the shank. The central stone is a rare Asscher cut diamond. Also known as emerald cuts, these square shapes are the most rare and highly sought after gems. This stone is quite fabulous, being E color and VS2 in clarity and thus very clean and pure. Set in milligrain platinum, it is surrounded by a further wonderful diamond openwork design. On front and back, straight lines of diamonds, on either side curling foliage that connects to the wide shoulders and continues down the shoulders to the shank in an openwork foliate design. The foliate design continues down the lower sides of the shank in the form of engraved detail in the platinum. Front and back sides with openwork scrolling and engraved gallery. Workmanship and design are absolutely beautiful. Ring is perfect for engagement or wedding, but anyone can wear it for any occasion. Marks and Metal: PLAT inside shank.
