Antique Victorian ring. 14k gold, silver, natural, unheated color change sapphire and diamonds. Made circa 1890. AGL certificate and independent appraisal.
Measurements: Weight is 2.80 grams. US size 5 1/4 - can be resized. Sapphire 1.68ct. 0.34ct diamonds.
Description : A stunning late Victorian ring with cushion-shaped purple sapphire with tones of pink and blue, changing color depending on the light in the cener. Square shaped, surrounded by a border of rosecust diamonds. Like almost all Victorian jewelry, diamonds were set in silver over a layer of gold. A very simple gold hoop. Wonderful, rich and luxurious looking thanks to both the cushiony shape and the deep purple - royal blue - pink tones. AGL certificate calls color: Violetish-blue Purple-pink; Degree of color change - Strong; Quality of color change - Very Good.
Marks and Metal: No marks.
