Antique Victorian ring. Yellow gold, garnets and enamel. Made in England, United Kingdom, circa 1860-70.
Unisex - suitable for a man or a woman.

Measurements: Weight is 4.7 grams. US size 7 1/2.

Description : Shaped like a wedding band that narrows at the back. The entire bezel - area that can be seen is enamel, enclosed in a gold border. The beautiful blue enamel hints at a semi-mourning ring as blue was the color traditionally used for half-mourning in the strict system of permitted attire of the Victorian era. The top has 3 square recesses, like gold cells. Each is set in the center with a raised gold collet containing a garnet. Garnets are of a beautiful pink tone. The garnets, while raised within their collets, are of the same height as the rest of the band, due to the recessed gold cells.
Suitable for a man or a woman.
Well made, understated elegance and class.

Marks and Metal: No marks. We tested the gold with acid and it stayed for 14k.

Condition: Good with minor wear commensurate with age. Enamel in very good shape. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
