Antique Victorian ring. 18k gold, some silver, rose cut diamonds. Made circa 1890, Paris, France. Perfect as wedding or engagement ring. Independent appraisal.

Measurements: Weight is 5.6 grams. 2.10ct rosecut diamonds. US size 6.

Description : Crossover ring, known as toi moi (you me) in French, the bezel consists of two arms that cross over and pass one another. Each arm of the ring terminates in a pear-shaped, rose-cut diamond, together weighing 1.28ct. These are each followed by a pair of round, pave set, smaller diamonds, that form the shoulders of the ring. Diamonds are set in silver, which was the custom during the Victorian era, to show the gems off to better advantage in candle light. The silver is backed in 18k gold. The shank is a solid, flat band of yellow gold.
The ring has a lovely bright, shining appearance with the diamonds really gleaming. Extremely versatile -it can be used for any occasion from jeans to a wedding and will make the perfect engagement ring. The you/me concept of the crossover ring adds romance to the design.

Marks and Metal: Outside of shank has eagle head mark, denoting 18k gold, made in Paris, France.

Condition: Good with minor wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
Independent appraisal (value $8500) available to new owner.
