Antique Victorian Ring 18k Gold Turquoise Diamonds Silver (6647)

Antique late Victorian cluster ring. Turquoise, diamonds, 18k gold and some silver. Made in England late 19th century.

 

Measurements: US size 8.25. Length of bezel is 19mm. Weight is 8.8 grams.

 

Description : Classic cluster ring. Central oval cabochon turquoise held in gold claws. Natural turquoise is a lovely shade of turuquoise. Surrounded by old cut diamonds, set in silver, which is typical of antique jewelry as it was considered the best way to show off the diamonds. Beneath this is a gold mount with triangular, pleated shoulders, leading the eye away from the sides. Simple gold shank. Wonderful, understated elegance, this ring is extremely versatile and would certainly be a favorate of most women. The relatively large ring size is an added convenience.

 

Marks: Maker's mark WCm and 18C.
