Antique Victorian Ring 18k Gold Aquamarine Napoleon III French (7056)

Antique Victorian Napoleon III ring. 18k yellow gold, aquamarine. Made in France, circa 1860-80.

Measurements: Weight is 5.8 grams. US size 5.25. Length of aqua is approximately 11mm. Total length of bezel is 17mm.

Description : Oval aquamarine, gently faceted forms the center of the ring. It is held in a gold collette and surrounded by a border of modelled gold foliage and berries with an inner border of gold between them. Trifurcated shoulders with the two outer strips curving away from one another and ending in a golden globe punctuation point. The inner branch is composed of a row of golden globules that reach the outside of the outer ring of gold of the bezel. The 3 branches of the shoulders join to form the shank composed of a triple line of gold.

Marks and Metal: French eagle head mark for 18k gold on the outside of the shank.
