Antique Victorian Edwardian Bracelet 18k Gold Sapphires and Spinels (6857)

Antique Victorian - Edwardian bracelet. 18k gold, various colored spinel and sapphires. Made 19th - early 20th century.  

 

Measurements: Weight is 24.1 grams. Length is approximately 6 5/8 inches (17cm). 5.62ct sapphires. Nearly 27ct spinel.

 

Description :10 gem-filled stations. Blue sapphires and various colored spinel, including blue grey, orange, red pink, pink, brownish red, green and purple. Each gem is contained in an oval of organically textured gold, reminiscent of a snake skin. 4 gold prongs suspend the oval gems discretely, while at the back, a pair of oval double mounts support them securely. Stations are connected via a trio of small gold loops, allowing each section to move fairly independently. Spring loop clasp might be a replacement.

 

Antique multi-gem jewelry is increasingliy difficult to find and rare as it has become highly sought after for it's bright and cheerful appearance. These gems are of a lovely significant size, making a great statement and they are beautifully set off by the organic mount.

 

Marks and Metal: No marks. Gold was electronically tested to ensure metal purity.
