Antique Victorian Earrings Pique Gold Inlay Dangling Swinging Ear Pendants (6589)
Measurements: Approximately 1 1/4 inches (3.5cm) long. Weigh 2.6 grams.
Description : Tiny cabochon surmounts set in gilt metal suspenda central bead drop surrounded by concentric oval loops, tapering towards the apex. The outer teardrop is a warm blond color with a band of gold inlaid through its center. It seems to hold the light of the sun and glows warmly. The darker inner band with fine, delicate pique work - gold inlaid into the surface in minute lines, dots, flowers and scrolls. Each part moves independently of the others and the earrings swing and sway as the wearer moves.
Wire clasps are easy to insert and comfortable to wear. The backs click closed and are a great security feature. These are the kind of earrings that many women love to wear. They look spectacular but don't weigh down your ear lobe thanks to their incredible light weight. Beautifully made, the combination and contrast of rich natural tones with the fine detail of the pique work results in a fabulous little work of art and light.
Marks and metal: No marks. We assume the metal to be gold-colored metal, but the clasp actually tested for 10k gold.
Condition: Negligible wear commensurate with age and use. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
