Antique Victorian Earrings Ear Pendants Carved Crl Gold Acorn Day Night (5600)

Antique Victorian earrings / ear pendants. Gold, natural carved coral. Day Night / Top Drop. Made 19th century, Italy.

Measurements: length excluding wires approx.6cm (2 1/2inches). Weigh 11.3grams (together). Hand-carved natural coral mounted on gold. Totally removable bottoms allow tops to be worn alone by day, while combined tops and drops can be worn for greater effect at night. The surmounts are in the form of oval gold mounts containing pineapple or strawberry forms. They suspend the drops via gold links that allow mobility to bottoms that swing freely as the wearer moves. The bottoms are in the form of acorns and other organic forms attached to a gold branching support at the back. Earrings are easily inserted via the back of the earlobe with simple clasps that click into place.
