Antique Victorian Earrings Diamonds Pearls Enamel 18k Gold w Appraisal (6756)
Measurements: Weight is 7.0 grams. Length, excluding wires is 1 1/4 inches. Approximately 1.05ct diamonds.
Description : Surmounts in the form of rectangular gables with scrolled terminals. Gold with black enamel stripes. Centre of earrings are flower formed with large Old Mine Cut diamonds surrounded by radiating gold and black enamel rays, followed by a ring of pearls. Fringes of knife-edge gold lines ending in pearls. Workmanship and quality are excellent. Stunning in every way. Will suit everyone of every age and taste and as ageless and wearable today as they were in the 1800's.
As the period of mourning progressed, Victorians went into 'half mourning' - when black was ameliorated by another color.
Marks and Metal: Hallmarked on wires.
