Antique Victorian earrings / ear pendants. 14k gold, old mine cut diamonds and pink topaz. Made 19th century. Possibly English.
Measurements: Weight is 15.0 grams. Length is a little under 2inches (5cm). 10.76ct pink topaz. 0.68ct diamonds.
Description : As wearable today as they were about 150 years ago, fabulous dangle earrings in pink topaz, diamonds and yellow gold. Cannetille twining wires and golden globules. Arching towards oval centers set with wonderful natural pink topaz gems. Cardinal points of the drops set with lovely cushion shaped, old mine cut diamonds. A matching diamond anchors the topaz gem of the surmount. Bottoms connected to tops by loops, which allow the earrings to swing and sway as the wearer moves, adding to the great look and attraction. Very well made. Post fittings are very likely replacements, convenient to insert and wear.
Marks and Metal: No marks as is to be expected of antique jewelry. Gold was acid tested as 14k.
Condition: Good with negligible wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
The earrings come with an independent appraisal. Value April 2019 was given as US$10710.00 They were electronically tested by the appraiser as 18k gold, but our testing showed 14k and we are going with the lesser purity.
