Description : A delightful, small pair of earrings. Natural cabochon turquoise forms the center of a pair of flowers, the petals are made of diamonds. Flowers suspended from tiny diamond surmounts in a floral-shaped colette mount. As is almost always the case with Victorian jewelry, The main metal is gold with the diamonds set in a layer of silver above the gold. Sturdy, hinged lever findings are easy to insert, comfortable and secure to wear.
Antique flower-formed turquoise earrings have become very difficult to find. They are a great look, as complementary today as they were well over a century ago. This small pair is classic, understated elegance.
Marks: French eagle mark near join of front and back of earrings. Gold was also acid tested to ensure metal purity.
Condition: Good with minor wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
