Antique Victorian Earrings 18k Gold Diamonds Pearls Creole Ear Hoops (6628)

Antique Victorian earrings. 18k gold, diamonds and pearls. Made circa 1870.

 

Measurements: Diameter, excluding the pearls approximately 1 1/4 inches (3.25cm). Combined weight is 9.3 grams.

 

Description : Big double gold hoops. Rigid gold ribbons or bands with wires that are attached and hinged on one side and clip into the other side. The fronts are exquisitely adorned with an openwork design of rose cut diamonds, centered by a natural pearl. The focus is a flower, from which diamonds taper away from the middle. The diamonds seem to float in mid-air. Glint and gleam and draw the eye. Wonderfully elegant. These earrings are highly wearable and look absolutely stunning.

 

Marks: No hallmarks as is to be expected of jewelry of this age. We acid tested the gold to ensure metal purity.
