Antique Victorian Diamond Ring Engagement Wedding Ring 14k Gold and Silver (6249)
Antique Victorian ring. Diamonds, 14k gold and silver. Euorpean. Made 19th century. Perfect engagement or wedding ring.
Independent appraisal from 2016.
Measurements: US size 7.5 (can easily be resized). Weighs 5.8 grams. Central diamond is approximately 1.62ct. Another 0.64ct diamonds, making a total of 2.26ct diamonds.
Description: Fabulous setting. A large central rose cut diamond forms the apex of an arching navette shaped bezel. It is surrounded by smaller rose cuts, each in it's own little filigree mount with spaces between them. Very delicate and pretty, yet sturdily made and strong design. Like almost all Victorian jewelry, diamonds are set in silver over gold in order to show them off to greatest advantage. The band is gold with fluted chevrons from the shoulders down the sides. Very sturdy and secure. Within the ring (as seen from the back), is a gold domed reinforcement to support the large diamond in the center of the ring. Makes a fabulous engagement or wedding ring.
Marks: No marks were found. Gold was acid tested to ensure metal purity.
Condition: good with minor wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
