Antique ruby ring. Gold ruby diamond. Comes from Belgium and was probably made around 1900.
Two gemological certificates available to new owner.
Measurements:
Comes with Gemmological Certification Services London UK certificate stating that diamonds are old cut and ruby measures 8.30 X 7.50 X 4.64 mm 2.75ct, cushion cut, transparent red natural corundum Ruby Myanmar (Burma) Origin and No indications of heating. Additional independent appraisal available to new owner states diamonds are 0.97ct.
Weight is 3.7 grams. A little over a US size 7.
Description :
A classic round ring with a fantastic, bright, bright pink-red/red-pink ruby, cushion cut in a rounded square shape. This stone is what the ring is all about. It shines and gleams like no other. Set in a colette of gold and surrounded by small, old cut diamonds, set in low grade white gold. The combination of ruby and diamonds is wonderful with tones ranging from very light to shadows, as the finger moves and the light catches the gems.
A simple, old gold band in yellow gold with fleur de lis shoulders.
Marks and Metal:
Inside of shank has worn AU375 for 9k gold.
Condition:
Minor wear to gold mount commensurate with age and use. Ruby in very good shape. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
THE STORY:
Besides the measurements and country of origin, certificate states that non-heated rubies are scarce. The shape and particular color of this ruby makes it particularly unique and sure to catch every eye.
