Antique Art Nouveau Late Victorian scarf ring. 18k yellow gold, platinum, cabochon turquoise and rose-cut diamonds. Made in France, circa 1900. Unisex - suitable for a man or a woman.

Measurements: Weight is 9.6 grams. 1 1/18 inch (26mm) across.

Description : Shaped as an oval loop with a large pointed pin to catch and hold the scarf in place. Very solid yellow gold. The upper surface is pierced in a lattice pattern with small, rose-cut diamonds at every intersection. The diamonds are mounted in platinum colette settings, which was typical of the period in order to show off the diamonds to best effect. The center has a colette-set cabochon turquoise of a lovely even color. Very stylish and very well made. People ask what gives the French that fabulous look. It's the small details such as this scarf ring - add elegance and polish to your appearance too. The perfect accessory to hold your scarf or cravat in place. Just thread the fabric through the ring and push gently so that the pin will catch the fabric.

Marks and Metal: French hallmarks on outside of ring: owl for 18k gold and man's head for platinum.

Condition: Good with negligible wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
