Antique Navaratna Ring 22k Gold Gems Amulet Unisex India (6824)

Antique amuletic ring. 22k gold, gems including emerald, diamond, pearl, sapphire, ruby,coral, catseye sapphire, citrine. Made in India, circa 1940-50's

 

Measurements: Weight is 6.7 grams. Approximately US size 8 3/4.

 

Superb example of Navaratna jewelry. Navaratna jewelry (literally 9-gem) is highly auspicious with tremendous spiritual, physical and emotional significance for the wearer. The individual gems are believed to have protective powers and the combination of the gems in this form are extremely powerful. The square bezel is set with genuine gems, including the above list, in their correct, prescribed, border. Each gem contained in it's own gold cell.
