Antique Georgian Victorian Necklace Gold Aquamarine Pink Topaz Appraisal (6495)
Antique Georgian Victorian Necklace Gold Aquamarine Pink Topaz Appraisal (6495)
Measurements: Approximately 18 inches (46cm) long. Width approx 1 1/8 inch (3.25cm). Total weight 39.50 grams. Colored stones 37.80ct. (Professionally independantly appraised.)
Description : Necklace composed of alternating wide and narrow sections, linked via small loops. The sections are set in openwork gold in a flaring openwork pattern with the gems seeming to float in the air between sections. Where the gems need to be connected to the metal, the gold is disguised as roses in full bloom. The scrolling openwork and pretty roses make the perfect foil for the pink and blue, beautifully matched gems. The late Georgians and early Victorians favored the color combination of pink and blue and these are wonderful examples of these gems. Delightful quality of aquamarine and beautiful, rare pink topaz, now highly sought after. The stones glitter and simmer as the light catches them. Easy to insert tongue-in-groove clasp with a safety chain for extra security. The necklace comes in a custom fitted case.
