Antique English, Georgian Sterling silver 6-slice large toast rack made in London, England, by Chas Fox in 1833.
A little over 6 3/4inches long; approx 5 1/2inches high and weighs 163grams.
Rectangular base stands on 4 ball feet.
Rounded corners with middle bar, on a smaller ball foot, for added support.
7 curved silver bars to hold 6 generous slices of toast (or waffles).
In the center is a bar with a handle.
The toaster is the epitomy of elegant simplicity and looks as wonderful today as it did almost 200 years ago.
Hallmarks underneath are very clear: Maker's mark CF for Chas Fox; lion passant, leopard head uncrowned, date letter S and monarch facing right.
Condition is very good.
