Antique Georgian Earrings 14k Gold Cannetille Diamonds blue Enamel Silver (6843)

Antique cannetille earrings ear pendants. 14k gold, blue enamel, diamonds and silver. Made 19th century.

 

Measurements: Weight is 6.6 grams. Approximate length 1 1/8 inch (3.5cm).

 

Description : Highly wearable dangle drop earrings. Cannetille filigree and granulation in twisting pyramids and scrolls, typical of the 1820's. Central scalloped triangle, enamelled in cobalt blue with a trio of Old European Cut diamonds set in silver, typical of the period. Round surmounts with beaded borders and simple wires, very easy and comfortable to insert. Wires and surmounts may be replacements, typical of earrings from this era.

 

Marks and Metal: No marks. Gold was tested at least 14k (possibly higher).

 

Condition: Good with minor wear commensurate with age. As mentioned, wires are likely replacements. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
