Antique Edwardian Earrings Platinum Diamonds Gold w Appraisal (6685)
Antique Edwardian earrings ear pendants. Platinum, gold and diamonds. Made early 20th century (circa 1905-15).
Measurements: Weight is 8.6 grams. Independant appraisal of diamonds: color F-H; 3.52ct; Transitional cut.
Description : Magnificent Edwardian diamond earrings. As with most very fine earrings of the period, diamonds were set in platinum in order to show them off to best advantage. Backs are gold. Easy to insert gold backs, with secure snap-shut clasp. The ear is adorned with a line of diamonds, finely set in close proximity to one another and held by the merest hint of a millegrained platinum collette setting. A small, hidden loop connects them to a 3-part trio of plumes, pave set within millegrain platinum mount. This forms the apex of the drop, which can swing independently as the wearer moves. A pair of concentric U-shaped rings and a raised central line of diamonds form the full, voluptious and elegant main body of the earrings, twinkling and sparkling in even the lowest light. Superb quality and design that breathe elegance and luxury. We can easily envisage them worn at an elegant royal banquet.
Marks: No marks found. Metal was electronically tested to ensure purity.
Condition: Good with minor wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer. Independent appraisal availible to new owner upon request.
