Antique earrings / ear pendants. Natural saltwater pearls, rose cut diamonds, 14k gold. Date to late 19th or very early 20th century. (Victorian - Edwardian era). Come with Gia Certificate.
Measurements: Approximately 1 1/4 inches (3.25cm) long. Weight is 3.0 grams. According to GIA certificate, pearls are 7.93 X 5.74 mm and 8.27 X 4.87 mm respectively.
Description : Elegant, simple lines. The earrings consist of a line of rosecut diamonds from which loops suspend diamond and pearl drops. The loops allow the drops to swing and sway as the wearer moves. Pearls are enclosed in calyxes, like buds of flowers. These mounts are finely set with rose cut diamonds. The pearls are a full, roundish oval. The upper surface has a lovely silvery white color. Backs are slightly more golden in hue. The pearls have a GIA certificate that states that there is no indication of treatment. In the past, the earrings would have been suspended from a detachable post or wire. The previous owner had 14k gold posts attached instead.
Marks: No marks. Gold was acid and electronically tested to ensure metal purity.
Condition: Good with minor wear commensurate with age. See note about posts above. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
