Antique Diamond Ring 18k Gold Platinum Engagement Bridal w Appraisal (6197)

Antique ring. 18k yellow gold, platinum and diamonds. Made circa 1900. Bought in France.

Measurements: Approximately 0.72ct diamonds. US size 5.5 Weighs 3.0 grams.

Description: Gold mounting with diamonds held within platinum tops to show them off without reflecting yellow. Platinum openwork scrolls form little hearts in a gallery that raises the diamonds up above the level of the finger and allows light to enter from all sides. The two diamonds are set diagonally on the finger in typical crossover fashion, called toi moi in France. You and I - a nice echo of the romance of an engagement ring. The ring can be worn alone or stacked with other rings.

Marks: Hallmarked on the shank, the ring was also acid tested to ensure metal purity.
