Antique Antiquity - bangle made of bronze by the Dong Son culture of the Ma River Delta of northern Vietnam between 2000 - 2500 years ago. Unisex - can be worn by a man or a woman.
Measurements:
Weight is 41.8 grams. Inner diameter 2 5/8 inches (just under 7cm). Fits quite easily over an avery hand/wrist.
Description :
Circular cylindrical in shape with an opening that allowed the bangle to be pulled open or closed to facilitate sliding over the hand. The outer edge with globular, hilly adornment that look quite organic. The meaning or significance of these bumps in unknown to us, but quite intriguing. The entire surface has the patina accumulated over thousands of years and gives a green-white-bronze tinge to the bangle.
While clearly showing signs of great age, the bangle can still be worn and is unisex - suitable for a man or a woman.

THE STORY:
The Dong Son culture was a bronze age culture in northern ancient Vietnam dating from about 1000 BC to the first century AD. Wikipedia specifically mentions their skills at bronze casting. Today, old bronze bangles are sought after and this one is particularly old and artistic.
