Antique bangle 18k gold bracelet elephants English Signed lucky luxury (7506)

Antique Victorian - Edwardian bracelet bangle. 18k yellow gold. Ruby.  Made by A. Bros, England, circa 1900 - 1920. 
Unisex - suitable for a man or a woman. 
 

Measurements:

Weight is 25 grams. Approximate inner diameter 5.3cms. Will fit a wrist of a little over 6 inches (16cm).  (my wrist is 6 1/4 inches and it fits very comfortably with a few mm to spare). 

Description : 

Exceptional bangle bracelet. Composed of very rich yellow gold. The main body of the bangle is very tightly woven gold that allows flexibility, making it easy to pull the bangle over the wrist and adapt to the shape of the arm. The terminals are in the form of a pair of elephant heads. Superbly modelled with 3d ears, naturalistic skin, hand-hammering on face, tusks and trunks that curl up and twine around one another in order to clasp the bangle closed. Small cabochon ruby eyes. Loops on the collars of each elephant are attached to a matching gold safety chain. 
Upturned elephant trunks are considered good luck and are highly desireable. 
Quality of the workmanship and design are absolutely fabulous. Rich, luxurious, fun, clever and elegant. A superb and rare item of jewelry.
Unisex - can be worn by a man or a woman.

Marks and Metal:

A plaque under one of the elephant heads reads A. Bros and 18ct.

THE STORY: 

Jewelry that features elephants is rare and very highly sought after. Particularly sought after are elephants with upturned trunks - supposedly symbolic of good luck and fortune as opposed to the down-turned examples. 
The quality of this bangle is fabulous and must have been owned by someone with very sophisticated taste and a budget to match.
The almost entirely gold construction (except for the ruby eyes) adds to the elegance of the bangle.
