Antique Art Nouveau Ring 18k Gold Platinum Diamonds Ruby Emeralds French (6613)

Antique Art Nouveau ring Egyptian Revival. 18k gold, platinum, diamonds, ruby and emeralds. Made in France, first quarter of the 20th century.

 

Measurements: slightly over a US size 8. Weighs 4.2 grams.

 

Description : An elongated oval shaped bezel with tri-forked shoulders in Egyptian Revival Style. Simple gold shank. The bezel with botanical theme in openwork with scrolling foliage, some textured to add to naturalistic effect. Stylised flowers are gems enclosed in gold colettes - a central ruby flanked by diamonds and emeralds at the extremities. Border of rose cut diamonds set in platinum. Makes for a colorful, garden effect that seems to float on the finger. Very beautiful. The play of light on the gems and gold are sure to draw the eye. Beautifully made and of excellent quality.

 

Marks: Owl and mask hallmarks indicating 18k gold and platinum. (mask is the man with the beard in rectangle). Gems confirmed by Presidium Duotester.
