Antique Art Nouveau Ring gold pink tourmaline French (6405)

Art Nouveau ring. Gold and cabochon tourmaline. Made early 20th century.  Bought in France and with French hallmarks.

Measurements: US size 5.5. Weighs 5.2 grams.

Description : Navette (boat) shaped ring with openwork gold mount surrounding a large, bright pink cabochon tourmaline. The gold with scrolls and loops. The shank passing through/under the looping gold of the mount around the bezel, like a little belt buckle. Attractive and well made.

Marks and metal: Like all French jewelry, the outside of the shank is hallmarked. The hallmark is the shell, which indicates 14k gold. We tested the gold with acid and it appears slightly less so we will guarrantee at least 10k.
