Antique Art Nouveau Earrings 18k Gold Pearl very Long French Ear Pendants (7014)
Antique Art Nouveau earrings ear pendants. 18k gold, pearls. Made in France circa 1900.
Measurements: 9.8 grams. Length approximately 2 3/8 inches (6cm) long, not including wires.
Description: Elegant, long ear pendants in 3 parts. Oval surmounts tapering to a point at the bottom with vine or oak leaves and berries on twigs, overlapping and curling over itself and even over the outer gold border. Leads to a loop with a very small central section composed of tripart foliage, in turn linked via loops to the long drops. Large, elongated ovals tapering to a point at the top (reverse form to the surmounts) with the same opework, overlapping foliage and a central small round pearl. The connecting loops allow the different sections to move independently of one another and swing/sway as the wearer moves. Simple gold wires with c-clasp make earrings easy to insert and comfortable to wear. Workmanship is exquisite and of the highest French quality. Art Nouveau earrings are extremely rare and this is a wonderful example.
Marks: French hallmarks on the gold wires.
Condition: good with negligible wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
