Antique Earrings White Sapphires Ear Pendant Silver Gold w Appraisal India(5743)

Antique chandelier earrings. White sapphires silver and gold. Made in India early 1900's.

Measurements: approximately 1 1/16th inch long (28 mm) not including the loops/wires; Weigh 23.1 grams. 6ct Sapphires.

Chandelier drops made of wonderfully transparent foiled white sapphires that look like diamonds. Flat cut in old India style. Kundan set in gold mounts, the central one of which has engraved border decoration. The smaller surrounding diamonds are heart and leaf shaped. There are 5 tiny loops that look like gold globes from some of the sections. Perhaps they once held dangling elements. Today they serve to give a nice, finished look to the earrings. Modern wires have been attached to the earrings for ease of inserting into the ears and comfort of wearing them. The look is stunning - suitable for the most luxurious occasion.

Marks: none, as is to be expected. New gold wires are 14k gold. Backs of earrings are vermeil.
