Antique, Edwardian platinum, fire opal and diamond pendant necklace in it's original, fitted, Liberty & Co. box. Made in England, circa 1910.
16 inches (41cm) long. Drop approx. 2 1/4 inches (6cm) long. Weighs 6.4 grams. Approx. 10.60 cts opals.
Large oval mixed cut fire opal drop suspended by an old cut diamond articulated connection from an oval mixed cut fire opal top. Attached to a fine link back chain with a rose cut diamond clasp. Comes in the original fitted green leather bound Liberty case. The case has Liberty black embossed mark for London Paris by Special Appointment. No other marks found.
Good, original condition. An Edwardian fire opal and diamond pendant, circa 1910, the large oval mixed cut fire opal drop suspended by an old cut diamond articulated connection from an oval mixed cut fire opal top, 5.4cm long, attached to a fine link back chain with a rose cut diamond clasp, in the original fitted green leather bound Liberty case
Overall light wear commensurate with age and use. One very minor nick to the side of the top fire opal, otherwise no visible chips, nicks or scuffs. All diamonds are present and no visible chips. No signs of damage or repair to the mount and chain.
