Antique Bangle Silver w Spikes Made about 100 years ago in India Unisex (6492)

Antique bangle bracelet. Silver. Made in India. Exact date unknown, but believed to be about 100 years old. Unisex - suitable for a man or a woman. Measurements: Diameter inside bangle is 2 1/4 inches (5.75cm). Weighs 39.9 grams. Description : Borders with moulded little rings. The outer circumference is entirely set with a double line of thorny spikes. Clearly with some sort of prophelactic powers and spiritual significance. Great look for the more modern girl. Typical of old Indian jewelry, there are clasps composed of hoops that lock together via a bar of silver with a flat head. Marks: There is an engraved 3 inside the bangle, but we have no idea what this might mean. Condition: Minor wear and patina commensurate with age and wear.
