Antique Art Nouveau pendant brooch. 18k gold, pearls, enamel and a small diamond set in silver. Made in France by Andre Rambour circa 1895 - 1905. Unisex - suitable for a woman or a man.

Measurements: Weight is 6.9 grams. Length top to bottom is a little over 1 inch (2.5cm).

Description : Lily of the Valley brooch pendant. Flowers and foliage fan out in a triangular shape. Larger leaves on the sides and small, wavy foliage surrounding the stylised flowers composed of graduated pearls. The largest pearl in the center with pearls decreasing in size towards the sides. The bottom terminal with a pearl and diamond drop connected via loops so that they swing and sway as the wearer moves. The diamond is set in silver over gold, typical of Victorian jewelry. A pair of small loops on either side make the jewel wearable as a pendant. Very secure clasp with an unusual funnel-shaped catch. Pin and other hardware at the back are in red gold, while the main body of the brooch/pendant is in yellow gold and silver for the mount of the diamond. Quality of workmanship is excellent.

Marks and Metal: Pin with French hallmarks, including the lozenge with AR for the maker and engraved number 2484. A third mark is not quite legible/we cannot identify it. French eagle head (for 18k gold) on side of c-clasp.

Condition: Negligible wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
